Meet South Florida’s Very Own Black-Owned Whiskey Brand, Duke & Dame

In honor of August being Black Business Month, we wanted to introduce you to the salted caramel whiskey (with 1g of sugar per serving), Duke & Dame – created by Amani Macaulay and Chima Burey. These two friends worked in the corporate finance world and decided to pursue their passion of creating a whiskey for everyone. Based in Miami, their fast-growing, independent Black-owned business is celebrating its fourth year and continuing to expand its footprint in the South Florida market with its debut of a new display campaign with Total Wine.

Locals will soon be seeing Duke & Dame on display at a larger scale in Total Wine’s South Florida stores across Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and South Beach, following the whiskey brand’s proven success. This small, Black-owned business is fighting for shelf space with big-brand liquor and succeeding, setting an example as one of the few independent Black-owned and operated liquor brands out there.
