Organizers of the South Florida Fair took the unprecedented step of presenting two fairs in one year with the announcement of a full-fledged, traditional fair happening now May 7th-23rd. This is in addition to the South Florida Mini Fair, which took place January 15-31.
To top it off, everyone who bought a ticket online from the South Florida Fair’s website for the mini fair will be granted one free Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday admission to the fair in May. “We have proven the ability to make adjustments as needed,” said Vicki Chouris, the fair’s president & CEO. “In the name of safety, most people realize why we decided to scale back our traditional fair but we also know they were disappointed.
Now they can get two different types of fairs for the price of one, all in the same year.”

The South Florida Fair in May will feature its original theme of “An Earthly A-Fair,” both indoor and outdoor attractions, some 200 rides and games, and all of the other fair favorites. The South Florida Mini Fair was held outdoors and included the typical fair foods and beverages, a variety of local and tribute bands performing daily, shopping opportunities with vendors under a large tent, racing pigs, a giant sand sculpture, strolling entertainers, farm animals, kiddie rides and visiting the historic buildings of Yesteryear Village.

For the January fair, safety measures were enforced and included mandatory mask wearing by everyone, safety protocols for all vendors, and a revamped site layout to accommodate more distancing. The South Florida Fair is an annual fair held in West Palm Beach, Florida, every January. The fairgrounds site occupies 100 acres and is located on the site of the former Palm Beach Speedway at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Fairground Road, adjacent to the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE? All-new and different activities and experiences each year! Since 1993, the themed expositions produced every year during the South Florida Fair are one of the most popular attractions of the 17-day event.
April 22, 2020 marked the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and we decided to emphasize the importance of this special day and the planet by declaring “An Earthly A-Fair” as our 2021 theme. The South Florida Fair will be held May 7-23, 2021.
“Every year we look to implement new changes to ‘green’ our fair and facility,” said South Florida Fair President & CEO Vicki Chouris.
Last year, the fair recycled cardboard, asked the vendors to eliminate plastic, including straws and other service items, and worked with Tellus Products in Belle Glade, which converts leftover sugarcane fiber into disposable tableware, such as containers, plates and bowls.”
The 2021 annual Fair – May 7-23- will be “An Earthly A-Fair” featuring an environmentally-friendly expo. We want to show our visitors that small changes in how we live can make a huge impact on our earth.
These efforts will be complemented with activities, entertainment, interactive and educational exhibits about climate change, recycling, green initiatives, endangered species, protection of the environment, clean air, water conservation, the importance of agriculture and more.
